Abstract

Brief Summary:

In the previous Horizon2020 project PRO-Heritage a sophisticated certified training course was developed, educating Cultural Heritage professionals in CO2 reduction and Energy Efficiency in order to become certified experts and to implement relevant measures in their organisations.

The project CliP-ComE is going to transfer the results of PRO-Heritage to EHH sites across Europe, providing professionals and owners with most relevant skills to support the Climate Goals of the European Union. Integrating around 50.000 European Historic Houses into national climate change and energy policies makes absolute sense when looking at their mere number. A goal, which can only be achieved through excellently trained craftspeople and well-informed owners. The project will train a number of 40 participants, identify and select at least 15 new trainers in more languages, while ultimately developing a board of “Climate Protection Guards” for implementing and advancing the CO2 footprint of EHH Cultural Heritage in Europe. The actual objectives of CliP-ComE are to:

  • investigate & adapt the PRO-Heritage ECH training to EHH sites in regards to existing training materials
  • roll-out PRO-Heritage ECH training to members of the EHH network
  • develop & add CliP-ComE to existing EHA Exam Online Portal to allow the issue of ECQA certificates
  • develop training material of CliP-ComE Trainer for Cultural Heritage in new languages and deliver training courses
  • establish a group of EHH “Climate Protection Guards for Cultural Heritage”
  • develop training & instruction material for EHH Cultural Heritage Climate Protection Guards, while training and certifying them accordingly

By implementing CliP-ComE to EHH sites, they become strong contributors to the European Climate Goals, while at the same time addressing the current initiative of the „Year of skills 2023“, which was launched by the European Commission lately.
